Geometric Motion Planning: Finding Intersections
We investigate a new model for mobile agents: Motion planning with geometric primitives, similar to rulerand-circle constructions in classical geometry. In this first paper on this subject, we consider finding intersection points between two geometric objects using mobile agents that move on these objects. This amounts to finding the rendezvous point of the two agents.
متن کاملOptimal cooperative motion planning for vehicles at intersections
We consider the problem of cooperative intersection management. It arises in automated transportation systems for people or goods but also in multi-robots environment. Therefore many solutions have been proposed to avoid collisions. The main problem is to determine collision-free but also deadlockfree and optimal algorithms. Even with a simple definition of optimality, finding a global optimum ...
متن کاملEvent-driven and Attribute-driven Robustness
Over five decades have passed since the first wave of robust optimization studies conducted by Soyster and Falk. It is outstanding that real-life applications of robust optimization are still swept aside; there is much more potential for investigating the exact nature of uncertainties to obtain intelligent robust models. For this purpose, in this study, we investigate a more refined description...
متن کاملDeep Q-Learning With Recurrent Neural Networks
Deep reinforcement learning models have proven to be successful at learning control policies image inputs. They have, however, struggled with learning policies that require longer term information. Recurrent neural network architectures have been used in tasks dealing with longer term dependencies between data points. We investigate these architectures to overcome the difficulties arising from ...
متن کاملCuriosity driven reinforcement learning for motion planning on humanoids
Most previous work on artificial curiosity (AC) and intrinsic motivation focuses on basic concepts and theory. Experimental results are generally limited to toy scenarios, such as navigation in a simulated maze, or control of a simple mechanical system with one or two degrees of freedom. To study AC in a more realistic setting, we embody a curious agent in the complex iCub humanoid robot. Our n...
